McKenna's Kid's Wish - $150 from the club funds plus $80 in other member contributions were presented to Make a Wish toward 6-year old McKenna's trip to Disney World in October 2009.

Canal Winchester Food Bank - Rhonda Boder-Boose presents a check for $250 to Janet Richardson of the Canal Winchester Food Pantry with profits from our Rose Sale in April 2009. Our food drive on August 30, 2009 contributed to helping offer more canned and boxed food items and some cash.

Dictionary Project -

In November 2008 our club delivered 300 dictionaries for the 3rd grade students in Canal Winchester schools. The Rotary Club of Reynoldsburg-Pickerington donated the dictionaries for our new club at a total cost of about $600--many thanks for helping us get started with our very first service project!

Special Olympics - PolarBear Plunge

YMCA golf hole sponsor - We have committed $150 for the Garber YMCA golf outing on Friday, May 29, at Westchester Golf Course. Our donation will support progams like summer camp and allow us to display a Rotary sign as a hole sponsor.

Previous Fundraisers through June 2010:

On May 1, 2010, the club sold flats of flowers and hanging baskets with the profits mostly going to the Canal Winchester Relay for Life. Of the 50 baskets and flats, we have just 16 more to sell.

October 24, 2009, 8:00 pm - Polio Plus fundraiser featured Antonio Consales from Italy playing Mozart, Chopin and Rachmoninov. Two young masters students, age 6 and 13, also played short pieces. Our Canal Club raised about $100 toward our club's Polio Plus goal of $700 for the year. The event sponsor, the Rotary Club of Reynoldsburg-Pickerington netted about $1000 toward their club's goal.

Our Food Bank drive on August 30, 2009, brought in canned and boxed food items and cash for our local Canal Winchester Food Pantry. The pantry has been providing needed groceries to local residents at over three times the rate of last year which has about depleted the shelves.
